Art Walks Chicago is a performance art exhibition that will take place on Michigan Ave. between Madison and Jackson on weekdays between 9 - 10am from Oct. 3rd to Oct. 31st, 2005.
Art Walks Chicago want to expose the people of Chicago to art outside the traditional museum and gallery environments. Interaction between artists and audience is highly encouraged. This years performances are a part of the Chicago Artist Month and are organized by Anni Holm and Nyok-Mei Wong, co-founders of Art Walks Chicago.
Art Walks Chicago is part of Chicago Artists’ Month, the tenth annual celebration of Chicago’s vibrant visual art community. In October, more than 180 exhibitions of emerging and established artists, openings, demonstrations, tours, open studios and neighborhood art walks take place at galleries, cultural centers and arts buildings throughout the city. For further information, call 312/744-6630 or visit www.chicagoartistsmonth.org. Chicago Artists’ Month is coordinated by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and is sponsored by the Chicago Office of Tourism with additional support from Podmajersky, Inc.
